Born into a musical family in Nova Scotia, Canada, Jacob began studying piano at the age of 3. He began his cello studies at age 8 while also taking violin and viola lessons as part of his music education. Following high school graduation, Jacob earned a degree in piano performance from Dalhousie University and completed graduate studies in cello at the University of Ottawa. He is currently pursuing further graduate work in  cello at the University of Michigan. Jacob has been a guest cellist with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and has also played with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. He is excited to share his love of cello with the students of WSA.
