Joseph grew up in a family of musicians and began playing violin at the age of 8. He met the viola in high school and fell in love with the mellow tones of the instrument as he began to take viola lessons.  Joseph completed his undergraduate studies in Church Music at Maranatha Baptist University before pursuing his graduate degree in Viola Performance and String Pedagogy at the University of Louisville, Kentucky, studying with Prof. Brittany MacWilliams and Suzuki training with Dr. Terry Durbin. He completed his graduate training in 2020 and launched his own viola and violin studio. As a private teacher, Joseph loves to help each student achieve his potential, expressing his individuality through music.
